Wirocer Plus® BEGO — Nickel-Chromium alloy for metal-ceramic restorations
Reliable nickel-chromium alloy for metal-ceramic crowns and bridges
Wirocer Plus® is a BEGO NiCr alloy developed for metal-ceramic crowns and bridges. Its beryllium-free formulation provides a high level of working comfort in the dental laboratory while meeting modern biocompatibility requirements.
Thanks to its controlled coefficient of thermal expansion and excellent ceramic bonding, Wirocer Plus® delivers reproducible results with normal cooling, eliminating the need for extended cooling cycles and improving laboratory efficiency.
Key benefits for laboratory and clinical use
- Moderate Vickers hardness (~190 HV10): fast finishing and easy polishing.
- Excellent ceramic adhesion: stable veneering and reliable esthetics.
- Low thermal conductivity: enhanced clinical comfort and pulp protection.
- High corrosion resistance: long-term durability of restorations.
- Biocompatibility confirmed by an independent institute.
- Smooth workflow: normal cooling, no time-consuming steps required.
Applications
- Metal-ceramic crowns.
- Metal-ceramic bridges with short to medium spans.
- Frameworks requiring good machinability and reliable ceramic bonding.
Laboratory workflow
- Preheating temperature: 900–950 °C.
- Casting temperature: ≈ 1450 °C.
- Melting range: 1320–1365 °C.
- Normal cooling recommended for efficient processing.
