Dental titanium disc 98 × 10 mm Grade 5 TC4 – D.L.G – CAD/CAM milling

D.L.G Titanium Disc — Why choose the 10 mm thickness?

The 10 mm format covers the majority of routine laboratory applications while optimizing milling time and material consumption. It is a highly efficient choice for daily production of Grade 5 titanium restorations.

Use protocol (summary)

  1. Check compatibility with the 98 mm disc holder and possible shoulder interface.
  2. Apply the recommended milling parameters for titanium according to your machine and tools.
  3. Proceed with finishing (deburring, polishing), followed by cleaning and sterilisation if required.

Always follow machine, tooling and internal laboratory protocols.

Grade 5 Titanium Disc — FAQ

Is the 10 mm disc suitable for a 3-unit bridge?
Yes. A 10 mm thickness is generally sufficient for 2–3 unit bridges, depending on available height, framework design and prosthetic space. Larger bars or extended bridges require thicker discs.
What is the practical difference between Grade 2 and Grade 5 titanium?
Grade 2 is more ductile and used for simple applications, while Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) offers significantly higher strength and rigidity. It is recommended for load-bearing components such as abutments, implant bars and small implant-supported bridges.
Can this D.L.G titanium disc be anodised?
Yes. Grade 5 titanium can be anodised using an appropriate protocol without affecting fit accuracy. We recommend a dedicated device such as the Mestra 80 V Titanium Anodiser, following colour voltage charts and safety guidelines.
