Splintmaster Flex DETAX — Flexible Biocompatible 3D Resin for Splints
Référence: H103386
Splintmaster Flex DETAX — Biocompatible 3D Resin (1 kg)
Splintmaster Flex DETAX resin — Flexible, transparent, biocompatible
Splintmaster Flex resin by DETAX is specifically developed for 3D printing occlusal splints, night guards, functional plates and high-precision flexible appliances. Flexible, resistant, dimensionally stable over time and fully biocompatible, it provides optimal patient comfort while ensuring excellent elastic memory and outstanding transparency.
Lab tip
To optimise transparency and flexibility, make sure the printed parts are thoroughly cleaned after printing.
Dental indications
Fabrication of flexible occlusal splints, night guards, mandibular repositioning appliances, elastic and durable functional devices.
Excellent cost-effectiveness: around 100 splints can be produced (approx. 10 g / €5.60 per appliance) with a high-tech, certified material.
Instructions for use
Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. Print on a 3D printer compatible with dental resins. Clean the printed parts carefully in IPA. Carry out a UV post-curing cycle according to the DETAX recommendations to ensure full biocompatibility. Polish all edges for optimal patient comfort.

FAQ
Does the splint remain flexible over time?
Yes. Splintmaster Flex is specifically formulated to maintain long-lasting flexibility.
Its elastic memory allows the splint to return to its original shape even after significant deformation.
This stability is achieved through a highly crosslinked resin, resistant to wear and mechanical fatigue.
Unlike certain rigid resins, it does not become brittle over time.
Patient comfort remains consistent even after several months of use.
Proper UV post-curing and careful polishing of the margins ensure optimal longevity.
For night-time appliances, this long-term flexibility reduces pressure points and noticeably improves clinical adaptation.
How can I achieve perfect transparency?
Shake the resin well before printing. Use a 3D printer validated by DETAX for optimal results.
Thoroughly clean the printed part in a fresh IPA bath.
Avoid excessive pre-curing before the cleaning steps.
Carry out UV post-curing according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Lightly polish the edges to homogenise the surface.
Store the splint away from UV light to prevent micro-yellowing.
A clean digital workflow and controlled lab environment further enhance the final transparency.
Is this resin biocompatible for long-term wear?
Yes. Splintmaster Flex complies with ISO 10993-1 requirements for medical device biocompatibility.
After complete post-curing, it is fully safe for prolonged intraoral use.
The resin is free from irritant monomers such as MMA and TPO.
It is odourless and tasteless, improving patient acceptance.
To ensure maximum biocompatibility, strictly follow the cleaning and UV post-curing protocol.
A compliant workflow removes unpolymerised residues and guarantees long-term chemical stability.
It is therefore very well suited for long-term occlusal appliances.
