Gingifast Elastic – FAQ
Can Gingifast Elastic be used on all model types?
Gingifast Elastic is designed for fabricating false gums on fixed prosthetic and implant models. It is compatible with most common model materials, provided an appropriate isolating agent is used. On polyether impressions, using Gingifast Separator is essential to avoid adhesion and ensure clean removal.
What is the difference between Gingifast Elastic and Gingifast Rigid?
Gingifast Elastic has a Shore A 40 hardness and remains flexible, making it suitable for undercut areas and gingival masks that require slight flexibility during removal. Gingifast Rigid, being harder, is ideal when a very stable and minimally deformable false gum is needed. Both materials complement each other depending on the case and laboratory preference.
Which tips are recommended for injecting Gingifast Elastic?
The kit includes standard mixing tips as well as intra-oral tips suited for precise injection into thin or difficult areas. For refills and replacements, you may use the grey Gingifast tips and Zhermack intra-oral tips offered in our related products.
