Two-part Sandblasting Flask — Mestra
The Mestra two-part sandblasting flask enables fast and uniform sandblasting of prosthetic components, delivering consistent pressure across the entire surface for results that are significantly more precise than manual sandblasting.
Laboratory reassurance (B2B)
Key advantages
Components sandblasted in 15–20 seconds under standard conditions.
Perfectly even sandblasting thanks to constant, uniform pressure.
Minimises the risk of losing components inside the sandblaster.
Capacity: up to 6–8 copings depending on size. Limitation: not suitable for bridges over 3 units.
Dental applications
- Metal-ceramic copings: fast, even sandblasting prior to subsequent steps.
- Inlays and cores: uniform surface activation without untreated areas.
- Acrylic teeth: suitable prior to resin curing (with adjusted settings).
Recommended settings for acrylic teeth: pressure at 2 bar and abrasive max. 110 µm.
Operation
- Place the components inside the flask and close it securely.
- Turn the flask upside down, keeping it perfectly vertical.
- Insert the sandblasting nozzle into the opening and hold the flask inverted.
- Sandblast for 15–20 seconds: the components are evenly treated.
Safety precaution: perform sandblasting over a sink or bucket to prevent abrasive from falling on the floor (risk of slipping).
Technical specifications
Spare part
Do not discard the entire flask: the rear section is the most exposed to wear and can be easily replaced. It is available as a rear parts pack of 3.
Delivery
Carefully packed for safe transport. To maintain a stable abrasive flow and uniform sandblasting, clean the flask after use and ensure the passage is free from obstruction.
